PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device capable of precisely driving a boom or the like and superior in working efficiency. SOLUTION: A hydraulic motor 10 with a braking function is connected to a center member 126 for a first inscribed engagement unit 4, an electric motor 12 with a braking function is connected to a center member 226 for a second inscribed engagement unit 6, and a carrier member 228 is connected to a center member 326 for a third inscribed engagement gear unit 8. Furthermore, a carrier member 328 and a casing 120 are connected to each other via a set of gears 46, 52 for granting rotating force and stopping force, and one of the hydraulic motor 10 and the electric motor 12 grants braking force and the other grants rotating force. Depending on the combination of braking and rotation, second speed output is produced by an output shaft 14 integrated with the carrier member 130.
