PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coal moisture conditioning facilities which prevent the rising of dust by the coal moisture-conditioning facilities and is low in cost of equipment and also low in energy cost and running cost. SOLUTION: A method for conditioning the moisture of moist coals to be conveyed from a coal yard 1 and introduced into a coke oven 9 by previously adjusting the water content by a dryer 4 comprises pulverizing the moist coals brought down from the coal yard by a pulverizer 3 to a specified size, then dividing the pulverized coals into the ones to be introduced into a dryer and the ones not to be introduced into the dryer before introducing the pulverized coals into the dryer, adjusting the water content of the moist coals having been introduced into the dryer to effect moisture conditioning by the dryer, and simultaneously classifying the moisture-conditioned coals into finely pulverized coals and coarsely pulverized coals, and kneading the classified finely pulverized coals with the above moist coals not having been introduced into the dryer by a kneader 11.
