PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for coating a scratch on a glass container which gives a good drying film and can be dried to form to form a coating film that is glossy, homogeneous, excellent in shielding performance and free from whitening after a long-term storage in a cold district or a refrigerator. SOLUTION: The agent for coating a scratch on a glass container comprises (A) an alkoxysilyl-functioning organopolysiloxane, (B) an alkyl polysiloxane and (C) a condensation reaction accelerating catalyst as the main components, wherein the alkoxysilyl-functioning organopolysiloxane can be obtained by reacting a cyclic diorganopolysiloxane represented by the formula: (R<1> R<2> SiO)m (wherein R<1> and R<2> are each a monovalent hydrogencarbon group selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, an alknyl group and an aryl group, and m is an integer of 3 or more) with an organotrialkoxy silane represented by the formula: R<3> Si(OR<4> )3 (wherein R<3> is an alkyl group or an aryl group, and R<4> is an alkyl group) in the presence of an equilibration catalyst.
