The cover for a drinks can has a lid (1) which by spring force from the top is pressed onto the rim of the can and which is curved or formed in such a way that after opening of the can it does not press against the tab for the opening of the can, thereby creating a gap between the lid and upper rim of the can. The cover also has a spring clamp (3) by which it is fitted from the outside onto the drinks can, and through which the cover is fastened to the can. The cover is quick and simple to fasten on drinks cans and can be easily removed.
