The guide for the support members of all types of tent-like constructions has a facility whereby the force transfer through the guide is provided directly and play-free through guide ribs (2) accurately conforming to the support members (1). The guide ribs are statically optimized by bevelling on their side furthest from the support member. The guide ribs may be wholly or partially relieved preferably in the region of the abutment by the support members.
