The present invention relates to a system for the control and monitoring of functional devices for the disabled with energy (3) from outside the body, comprising actuator means (5,6,7), data-processing means (30,31), and control means (2) connected to the actuator means and to the processing means. The system further comprises a sensor element (4) which is connected to the control means and can transmit one or more signals for the control and monitoring of functional devices for the disabled. The present invention also relates to the procedures necessary for the remote control and monitoring of the system.
