PURPOSE: An apparatus is provided to prevent plating defects and safety accidents of workers in advance by collecting noxious vapor generated in a plating solution filled in a plating shell for plating the surface of a strip produced by passing through various processes in ironworks. CONSTITUTION: In a steel plating shell(10) at the inner side of which a conductor roll(12) and anode bars(14) are installed, and a plating solution(16) is stored so that a strip (S) passing through the plating solution(16) is plated, the apparatus for collecting noxious vapor generated in the strip plating shell comprises a base part(20) comprising a main base(22) which is fixed to both sides of the conductor roll(12) along the upper part of the plating shell(10), and a plural bases(24) which are arranged on the upper part of the main base(22) so that the plural bases(24) are folded by a first driving means(40); and a hood part comprising dust collecting fans(56) which are horizontally fixed to the bases(24) to the upside of duct members(52) arranged on the upper part of the bases(24), and which are rotated by a second driving means(70) so that noxious vapor is collected to the inner side of a hood(54) connected to a main duct(90) through a flexible section, and a noxious vapor treating means(80) which is installed in the upper part of the dust collecting fans(56) to absorb and press out noxious vapor.
