PURPOSE: A hybrid excitation method is provided to reduce the vibration and the noise by using the hybrid excitation method as combination of a 1 phase excitation method and a 2 phase excitation method. CONSTITUTION: A hybrid excitation method is used as an SRM driving method. The hybrid excitation method is to overlap 1 phase excitation method and 2 phase excitation method to each other. In the hybrid excitation method, a phase conductive angle is increased to use the 2 phase synchronous exciting sections. A C-dump circuit including a booster circuit is used as a driving inverter. The phase conductive angle is increased to overlap exciting sections of the 1 phase excitation and the 2 phase excitation. An influence of sub torque is reduced in a phase commutation process by using the C-dump circuit including the booster circuit.
