PURPOSE: A separation operating system of head unit and vision camera for a surface mount device is provided to reduce a loss of working time by driving the head unit and the vision camera, separately. CONSTITUTION: An X-axis and a Y-axis gantry(110,120) are used for guiding a head unit(130) or a vision camera(140) when the head unit(130) or the vision camera(140) is moved to an X-axis and a Y-axis direction. The head unit(130) is used for mounting components on a printed circuit board. The vision camera(140) is used for sensing mounting positions of the components or mounting errors of the components. A plurality of head unit driving portions(111,112) is installed at the X-axis gantry(110) in order to generate a driving force for moving the head unit(130) to the X-axis direction. A plurality of vision camera driving portions(113,114) is installed in parallel to the head unit driving portions(111,112) in order to generate the driving force for moving the vision camera(140) to the X-axis direction.
