PURPOSE: An apparatus for recognizing a nozzle is provided to mount a nozzle on a head unit regardless of a mounting position of the nozzle by recognizing an ID(Identification) of the nozzle in a nozzle exchange apparatus for storing a plurality of nozzles. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of nozzle storage portions(101 to 112) is arrayed on a plane of a nozzle exchange apparatus(100). A plurality of loads(R1 to R12) is inserted between the nozzle storage portions(101 to 112). A plurality of contact pins(P1 to P6) is installed on each plane of the nozzle storage portions(101 to 112). A plurality of connection grooves is formed on a bottom face of a reflective plate of a nozzle in order to apply a driving current to one of the contact pins(P1 to P6). An A/D converter(130) is used for converting driving current signals of the nozzle storage portions(101 to 112) to digital signals. A controller(140) is used for receiving the digital signals of the A/D converter(130), recognizing an ID of the nozzle, and outputting the recognized ID signal of the nozzle.
