Cpds. (I): (where R1 is 1-3C alkyl, R2 is H or Me and n is 1 or 2) are prepd. by standard methods for forming ureas or by oxidising the corresponding thio cpd. or by alkylating a sulphinic acid. Thus (I, R1 = Me, n =2, R2 = H) is prepd. from the corresp. amine and MeNCO.
