PURPOSE: A method is provided to manufacture a spring for automobile chair which forms a "U" shaped coiling starting part by passing spring steel coiled in a coil shape through cutting, transferring and coiling. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing a spring for automobile chair comprises first step of heating a proper portion of spring steel(100) coiled in a coil(100') shape, and cutting a certain part of a heating portion(104) by a cutter; second step of transferring the spring steel(100) to the lower part of a coiling rod(10) as pressing the spring steel cut to a certain size through a plurality of upper and lower transfer rollers(101); third step of bending the heating portion(104) in a "()" shape by pressing a cut heating portion(104) of the spring steel(100) through a pressing means such as a hydraulic cylinder in a first frame(110) formed in the lower part of the coiling rod(10); fourth step of bending the bended part in a "()" shape by repeatedly bending a bended part bended in a "( )" shape in the second step through a pressing means such as a hydraulic cylinder in a second frame(120); fifth step of forming a line part of the spring by rotating the coiling starting part in the state that a "U" shaped coiling starting part formed in the above steps is firmly clamped by the frames(110,120) and the coiling rod(10) that are fixed onto a rotation plate(105); and sixth step of forming a catching bended part by bending the cut heating portion(104) of an end of the coiled spring.
