PURPOSE: A photo interrupter is provided to detect easily a bidirectional movement of a mobile object by installing a plate spring in a contact part between a lever and the mobile object. CONSTITUTION: A sensing hole(11) is formed in a center of one side of a housing(10). A light emitting element(13) and a light receiving element(14) are formed at both sides of the sensing hole(11). A hinge shaft portion(16) having a rotary hole(15) is formed to a front and a rear direction of one side of the sensing hole(11). An elastic section(17) is formed in the inside of the hinge shaft portion(16). A hinge shaft(21) is combined with the hinge shaft portion(16) of the housing(10). A lever(23) is formed at a center of a rotary portion(20). A blocking section(24) is extended from the lever(23). A contact portion(25) is formed at an opposite side of the blocking section(24). A couple of interval sections(26) is formed to a front and a rear direction of the lever(23). A rotary section(27) is formed between the interval sections(26).
