PURPOSE: A flat cathode ray tube is provided to simplify a fabrication of the flat cathode ray tube and reduce a manufacturing cost of the flat cathode ray tube by decreasing the number of components installed in the inside of the flat cathode ray tube. CONSTITUTION: A fluorescent body is formed on an inner side of a panel(10). A mask support body(30) is adhered to the inner side of the panel(10) by a frit glass. A shadow mask is adhered to the mask support body(30) by using a welding method. Two or more damper wires(61) is installed on the mask support body(30) in order to prevent a howling phenomenon due to an external impact. A bracket(60) is installed to the mask support body(30). The damper wire(61) is welded with the bracket(60) by a contact spring(70). The damper wire(61) is fixed and supported by the bracket(60) and the contact spring(70).
