A metal plate shearing machine includes a rigid table 2 having a single blade 4 in one edge, against which is oscillated a single blade 13 mounted along the upper edge of a slot 10 in a rigid beam 9 pivotable about an axis 6 by, for example, an hydraulic cylinder 19. The plate to be cut is laid on the table 2, through the slot 10 and supported by a table 11 attached to the movable beam 9 below a guide plate 16. The beam 9 has one end guided in a vertical guide 8 and has a panel 12 carrying the blade 13, which panel 12 is adjustable in position by a wedge 26, having dovetail portions 28, controlled by hydraulic cylinders 27. The panel 12 may alternatively be moved by eccentrics or a longitudinally acting wedge.</p> |
