PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caster attitude detector capable of automatically detecting the attitude of a caster with high efficiency using a simple structure and effectively contributing to labor saving. SOLUTION: This caster attitude detector includes relative position detecting means 21, 22FL, 22FR, 22RL and 22RR for detecting a relative position between a carriage 5 having rotatable casters 7FL, 7FR, 7RL and 7RR traveling on a prescribed traveling passage 3 and the casters, and an attitude determination means 25 for determining the attitude of each of the casters based on the output of the relative position detecting means, thereby detecting the attitude of each of the casters.
