PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the washing capacity of a polishing pellet washing machine. SOLUTION: In the polishing pellet washing machine constituted so that polishing pellets to be washed are put in the bucket 23 received in a washing tank 5 and washing water is supplied to the tank to wash the pellets by rotating stirring plates, one or a plurality of change-direction members 47 are arranged along the inner peripheral surface of the bucket 23 as shown in Fig. (b). A circulating flow is generated between the central part and outer peripheral part of the washing tank in the same way as a conventional embodiment. However, the change-direction members 47 function not only to generate a change in the flow of the fluid circulating in the bucket but also to increase the collision of the pellets with washing water and the mutual friction of the pellets to enhance washing efficiency. Since a different circulating flow is obtained by differentiating the shape or dimension and arrangement of the change- direction members, various combinations can be enabled corresponding to a washing condition.
