<p>Fabric (woven or knitted) is produced from crimped pref. polyamide, yarn and treated with cation-active antimicrobial cpds. (e.g. benzylalkylammonium cmpds phenolic polyoxymethylene derivs. or alkylammonium chlorides). Useful as a wound dressing, as it permits aeration of the wounds but disinfects the air coming into contact with the wound, and can easily be removed from the wound causing pain. It is also of advantage for surgical masks, due to its disinfectant action on the air passing through it.</p> |
