PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared light irradiation lamp in which the temperature in the interior of a globe for forming infrared light during irradiation of infrared light does not so increase as to have a bad influence on the infrared ray transmission characteristics of the globe and a life of a bulb. SOLUTION: The infrared light irradiating lamp comprises a lamp chamber S partitioned by a lamp body 12 and a front lens 14; a reflector (hereinafter called ref) 16 situated at the inner side of the lamp body 12; a light source 20 situated in front of the ref 16; a cylindrical globe 30 for generating infrared light situated to cover the light source 20, shielding visible light and transmitting only infrared light; and a glove moving mechanism 70 to move the globe 30. By the globe moving mechanism 70, a function of an infrared light irradiation lamp can be switched between an infrared light irradiation form wherein the light source is covered by the globe 30 and a visible irradiation form where the globe 30 is moved to front of the light source 20. A power regulating means is located in feed passage to a light source 20 to regulate such that a light source feed power during irradiation with infrared light is decreased below a light source feed power. A heat generating amount of the light source 20 covered by the globe 30 is reduced and temperature in the globe 30 is not increased to a high temperature causing an adverse influence on the infrared light transmission characteristics of the globe and a light source life. |
