METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING TRANSMISSION BELT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing transmission belt capable of being manufactured by winding a core wire without generating a sieve opening in a joint wire slantly provided on a cylindrical canvas. SOLUTION: The transmission belt A is manufactured via a process wherein the cylindrical canvas 2 formed cylindrically by jointing mutual ends of the canvas is prepared; a process wherein the cylindrical canvas 2 is set by being inserted on an outer periphery of a cylindrical mold 3; and a process wherein the core wire 4 is fed while the mold 3 is rotated and the core wire 4 is wound outside the cylindrical canvas 2 by moving a feed position of the core wire 4 parallel to the mold 3. In this case, end parts of the canvases are jointed to each other, two kinds of cylindrical canvases 2 of which the joint lines 5 are different in a direction inclined to a generating line of the cylinder are prepared. The cylindrical canvas 2 formed so that the joint line 5 is inclined in a reversal direction to the moving direction of a feed position of the core wire 4 toward the rotary direction of the mold 3 is selected and used.
