Blast furnace - charging apparatus for furnaces under high pressure

The appts. consists of a pouring channel which can pivot and slide above the furnace mouth. Its movement is controlled by a centre-plate located at the point where the charge is deposited inside a hermetically sealed chamber. A measuring head is located at the end of the pouring channel which can be lowered onto the surface of the furnace mouth to measure various quantities inside the furnace. It can also monitor the pouring surface inside the mouth.
