PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discharge scum floated up on the surface of molten metal in a molten metal pool part in the interval of casting, in the casting of a cast strip using a twin-roll type continuous casting apparatus. SOLUTION: In a method for producing a plurality of coiled strips while supplying the molten metal r into the molten metal pool part 3 formed with one pair of cooling rolls 1, 1 and one pair of side weirs, when the casting per one coil of the coiled cast strip is completed, the scum floated up on the molten metal is drawn up to one side of a meniscus m2 by blowing gas from a gas nozzle 7b and the drawn-up scum is stuck on the cast strip surface or the circumferential surface of roll and discharged from the molten metal pool part.
