PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet applied to the skin used for external application in a medical and sanitary field and suitably usable as an emergency adhesive plaster or a large-sized adhesive plaster, a pressure- sensitive adhesive bandage, a dressing material or the like. SOLUTION: A pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is provided on the single surface of a substrate sheet and prepared by compounding 20-120 pts.wt. of carboxylic acid ester liquid or pasty at the normal temperature with 100 pts.wt. of an acrylic copolymer, which is obtained by copolymerizing a monomer mixture containing 40-80 wt.% of alkyl (meth)acrylate, 10-60 wt.% of an alkoxy group-containing ethylenic unsaturated monomer and 1-10 wt.% of a carboxyl group-containing ethylenic unsaturated monomer and chemically crosslnking the acrylic copolymer so as to have a gel ratio of 20-60 wt.%. Further, the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet is irradiated with ionizing radiation to increase the gel ratio to 30-80 wt.% not only to reduce the irritation to the skin but also to adjust the balance between adhesive strength and coagulation force.
