PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing float capable of fixing the float body at a prescribed position on the main line, to improve the line controllability enabling the effective search for fish widely to a relatively deep migration layer and attracting the bite of fish by properly adjusting the fishing tackle including the float body according to the weight of fishing gear under the float and the condition of the real fishing spot such as the tidal flow. SOLUTION: The fishing float 10 is provided with a float body 11, a float fix 21 to be fixed at a prescribed position on a main line 20, a line-inserting hole 12 passing through the float body 11 and having a diameter larger than the float fix 21 and a float fix engaging part 13 formed at the rear opening of the line-insertion hole 12 by expanding the diameter in one direction to a groove width smaller than the float fix 21.
