摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new magnetic separating method and a new magnetic separating apparatus by which prescribed mixed materials can be separated magnetically into each component by magnetic force derived from a huge magnetic gradient and each component separated thus can be kept in high concentration. SOLUTION: A pair of electromagnets 12 and 14 whose N pole edge surfaces are faced oppositely to each other and a pair of electromagnets 13 and 15 whose S pole edge surfaces are faced oppositely to each other are arranged on the outer peripheral part of a vessel 11. Since these electromagnets compose a fourfold-pole electromagnet, the large magnetic gradient can be generated and subsequently huge magnetic force can be generated in the vessel 11. The prescribed mixed materials are easily and effectively separated magnetically into each component by means of the huge magnetic force by making the mixed materials pass through the vessel 11 and each component separated thus is kept in high concentration.
