METHOD FOR ROLLING BAR AND WIRE, AND MOVABLE PINCH ROLL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling method and a pinch roll device, which can move the pinch roll across steel on the conveying route to the other rolling line or an off-line part immediately after the hot-rolled steel supplied by the pinch roll is bitten with a rolling mill in order to prevent the defect of a product after rolling due to cooling water for the pinch roll in the rolling of a bar and a wire. SOLUTION: In the rolling method of the bar and the wire, an upper pinch roll of, the pinch roll device arranged on the inlet side of the rolling mill is made into a cantilever structure and is made movable in the direction perpendicular to the steel conveying direction of the rolling line. The structure of the pinch roll device arranged on the inlet side of the rolling mill is the movable pinch roll device which is provided with a moving apparatus for moving the pinch roll in the direction perpendicular to the steel conveying direction of the steel and a supporting apparatus for supporting at least the upper pinch roll between the upper pinch roll and a lower pinch roll by a cantilever method.
