PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image diagnostic instrument which achieves higher operability both in fine and coarse adjustments of positioning means. SOLUTION: An operation panel 7 is provided with a tracking ball 6 as a position operating means in addition to a plurality of operating buttons for setting in a mode of rotating images to be displayed on a monitor 5 or the like, with a mode set corresponding to the operations of the operating buttons, a tracking ball signal outputted from the tracking ball 6 is inputted into a control circuit 26 and the cycle thereof is monitored by a cycle judging circuit 28 all the time. When the cycle is within a specified preset range, a higher reaction sensitivity that causes no division of the tracking ball signal in frequency is shifted to a lower reaction sensitivity that causes the division of the tracking ball signal in frequency thereby facilitating the adjustment of the angle of rotation or the like of the images. |
