PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely clean a filter of a cyclone dust collector every time a dust cup is attached or removed. SOLUTION: A filter 16 is attached to the outer periphery of an exhaust port 15 of an exhaust cylinder 14 mounted to a cyclone body 10 so as to be located at the center of a whirl of air. A cleaning means 40 of the filter 16 is attached to the outside of the cylinder 14 so as to be slidable within a certain stroke in the axial direction of the cylinder 14. The means 40 is connected to the dust cup 9 through a connection means 50 and forces the cup 9 into the body 10 or pulls the cup 9 out of the body 10, while the means 40 slides over the outside of the cylinder 14, thereby cleaning a filter 16. The connection means 50 is separable, and when the cup 9 is connected to the body 10, the cup 9 is connected to the means 40.
