PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive apparatus for pouring ice cream capable of maintaining quality of the ice cream and dispensing with a timer by carrying out an optimum defrosting control. SOLUTION: This apparatus for pouring ice cream is provided with a defrosting controlling means which carries out freezing operation of a freezing room 16 when a lid switching means 13 detects exchange of a bag 3 by a freezing means 17 until the temperature in the freezing room detected by a temperature detector reaches a predetermined lower limit, and when the temperature detector 24 detects the room temperature arrives at a temperature lower than the predetermined temperature, energizes a heater 22 to start defrosting of an evaporator 21, and is provided with a defrosting controlling means which judges the ice cream pouring device is out of business hours in the case of the ice cream pouring operation is absent for a time longer than the predetermined time and then starts defrosting.
