PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desulfurizing agent for organic sulfur compound- containing fuel oil, which is capable of removing sulfur portion efficiently in the organic sulfur compound-containing fuel oil to <=1 ppm and has long service life, and a method of producing hydrogen for fuel cell by partial-oxidation- reforming, autothermal-reforming or steam-reforming the organic sulfur compound-containing fuel oil desulfurized with the desulfurizing agent. SOLUTION: The desulfurizing agent for organic sulfur compound-containing fuel oil is prepared by supporting silver on a support. The method of manufacturing hydrogen for fuel cell is performed by desulfurizing the organic sulfur compound-containing fuel oil with the desulfurizing agent and bringing into contact with a partial oxidation reforming catalyst, an autothermal reforming catalyst or a steam reforming catalyst. |
