PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bristle material for a brush with very excellent washability for washing the body of an automobile or instruments, etc., without damaging the washed surface and with excellent shape stability in the long time use. SOLUTION: The bristle material is made of a resin composition comprising 98-55 pts.wt. of polypropylene block polymer and 45-2 pts.wt. of at least one among low density polyethylene, high density polyethylene and straight chain low density polyethylene, and is shaped as a long sheet. The bristle material has a foldable part 2 in the lateral direction and finely divided fibers 4 at a tip 3 in the longitudinal direction.
