PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a spindle device light in weight, low in cost, high in efficiency and improved in machining accuracy. SOLUTION: In a transmission means 50, a long hole 31 in the axial direction is formed in one of a spindle 10 and a cam shaft 12, a spiral torque cam groove 32 around the axis is formed on the other, a torque pin 34 is engaged with the long hole and the torque cam groove, and the torque pin 34 is moved in the axial direction by a driving means 43 so that the relative position in the circumferential direction of the spindle 10 to the cam shaft 12 is changed. A drawing tool 8 is moved in an opening/closing manner by the change in the relative position in the circumferential direction of the spindle 10 and the cam 12.
