PURPOSE: A robot cleaner, a system thereof, and a method for chasing an external charging device are provided to allow the robot cleaner to effectively return to the external charging device by memorizing a position of the external charging device in the robot cleaner. CONSTITUTION: A robot cleaner includes a dust collecting section(11), a sensor section(12), a front camera(13), an upper camera(14), a driving section(15), a memory device(16), a transmitting/receiving section(17), a control section(18) and a battery(19). The dust collecting section(11) is installed on a body so as to collect dusts from a floor. The dust collecting section(11) includes a suction motor and a dust collecting chamber. The sensor section(12) includes an infrared ray emitting device and a light receiving device. The front camera(13) is installed on the body so as to output a front image of the robot cleaner(10) to the control section(18). The upper camera(14) is installed on the body so as to output an upper image of the robot cleaner(10) to the control section(18).
