PURPOSE: Artificial broadtail and a manufacturing method of the artificial broadtail using pile fabric are provided which are characterized by not transforming on washing, being light, having proper thickness, maintaining heat insulating property, having high quality and being useful for a woman's coat. CONSTITUTION: The artificial broadtail is obtained by a process containing the steps of: humidifying the pile fabric with steam; first finishing the pile fabric with a brush to add orientation property to pile; laying cotton and thermal contracting fabric on the bottom of the pile fabric, followed by stitching to unify; and then heating the unified pile fabric on condition of non-tension to contract the thermal contracting fabric, therefore waiting upon a pattern and a shape like natural broadtail.
