PURPOSE: A body structure of a side lower part of a vehicle is provided to improve the safety of passengers of a vehicle and to improve riding comfort of passengers by preventing the admission of the wind caused by the traveling of the vehicle into the room of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: In a body structure of a side lower part of a vehicle, the lower part of an inside panel(12) of a door(10) is contacted with the outer surface of an outside panel(21) of a side sill(20). An insertion protrusion(13) is formed to the lower part of the inside panel of the door. A leading-in groove(23) is formed to the outside panel. The insertion protrusion is led in the leading-in groove according to the opening and shutting of the door. The striking energy is absorbed in connection with the side sill though impact load is given to the upper part of the door, and therefore the safety of passengers is improved. The admission of the wind caused by the travelling of the vehicle is prevented because the vehicle runs with the insertion protrusion led in the leading-in groove.
