PURPOSE: To provide a press in which the energizing force to a slide cam is output only when required, the energizing force is reduced as much as possible, any abnormal wear or seizure can be prevented on a slide part of a slide cam, a slide cam base, and a working cam, and a large force as a returning force of the slide cam can be output in the vicinity of a bottom dead center of the press. CONSTITUTION: The press comprises the slide cam base 21, the slide cam 19 which is slidably provided on a guide post 24 stretched over the slide cam base, guided by the slide cam base, and provided with a work member such as a member to be bent, a returning urging body which is interposed between the slide cam base and the slide cam to urge the slide cam, and a driven cam 4 which is abutted on the slide cam to drive the slide cam. A working energizing body 91 for energizing the slide cam only in the vicinity of the bottom dead center of the pressing stroke is provided between the slide cam base and the slide cam, and/or between the slide cam and the driven cam.
