PURPOSE: A system and method for supplying/receiving service to/from a device in home network are provided to control a managing load in accordance with an appendix or a decrease of a device necessary for the same kind of service to a home network and simplify a procedure for receiving the service. CONSTITUTION: A service supplying server transmits a notifying message having an ID of a home network having a device corresponded to additional discriminating information of a service-objected device to an Internet connection supplying server before supplying a service(402). An Internet connection-supplying server receives the notifying message and checks whether the home, which is designated in the received notifying message, is registered therein(404). If the home is judged as a registered home network, the Internet connection supplying server converts the ID designated in the notifying message into an IP address of a corresponding home(408), and transmits the notifying message including a type and attribute information of the service-objected device and an IP address of a home of the device to a corresponding home(410). A look-up server receives the notifying message and checks whether the device is a registered therein based on the additional discriminating information of the device(412). If the notifying message is a registered device, an ID of a device corresponded to the additional discriminating information is obtained, and a private IP address corresponded to the ID is obtained(416). The notifying message is transmitted to the private IP address of the service-objected devices(418). The service-objected devices operate a service preparation program(420) and transmit a response message for informing a completion of a service receiving preparation to the service supplying server(422). The service-supplying server supplies a corresponding service to the service-objected device(424).
