PURPOSE: Provided is a method for producing a highly heat shrink polyamide film so as to have suitable heat shrinkage to be used for heat shrink food packaging film while not showing a problem associated with appearance. CONSTITUTION: The method comprising the steps of (i) compressing a solution of polyamide 6 polymer into tubular shape and quenching the tube to obtain an amorphous sheet, (ii) biaxially orienting the amorphous sheet, and (iii) heat fixing the sheet in heater roll and oven, is characterized in that the biaxial orientation is effected so as to obtain an orientation ratio of 2.6-2.9 times, and the heat fixing is performed at a heater roll temperature of 130-160 deg.C, and an oven temperature of 140-190 deg.C.
