PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery with improved battery output characteristics at low temperatures and battery characteristics at the room temperature. SOLUTION: This lithium secondary battery comprises an electrolyte having non-aqueous solvent formed of a high boiling point solvent of 150 deg.C or higher in boiling point and a solute and a battery element having a positive electrode and a negative electrode. The positive electrode contains a lithium nickel composite oxide and a lithium cobalt composite oxide.
