<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system that can reduce a transmission error without increasing a calculation amount with respect to error correction and improve the quality of a moving picture more than that of a conventional system. SOLUTION: Data subjected to error correction coding are outputted to a copy data generating section 13 in the transmitter 1. The copy data generating section 13 generates copy data according to number of copies decided by a control section 16. The control section 16 decides a moving picture coding rate and number of generated copies as required based on a state of a transmission channel detected by a transmission channel monitor section 15. After generation of copy data, an interleave section 14 interleaves the copy data and original data. A buffer 22a of the receiver 2 stores the original data and buffers 23a-23n store the copy data. A data selection section 4 selects the data stored in the buffers 23a-23n based on the result of decoding by error correction decoding sections 23a-23n.</p> |
