PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent seal type lead acid battery device with an increased service life and performance. SOLUTION: In this seal type lead acid battery device, electrolyte is held by using a liquid absorbing separator formed mainly of glass fiber, and gel electrolyte is disposed in a space between a plate group and an electric battery. The average fiber diameter of the glass fiber is 1.5 to 19 microns, and the battery is installed so that a surface where the plates and separator are stacked comes within±20 deg. from a horizontal plane.
