PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable aging of various types of PDP, having different dimensions in one and the same tray, in an aging tray PDP which comprises a short bar for short-circuiting Y-display electrode, X-display electrode and the data electrodes by each electrode, and to provide a drive circuit for impressing an aging pulse on each short bar. SOLUTION: Four short bars for short-circuiting the display electrodes and data electrodes of PDP are divided into a first set made of a short bar 2A1 for short-circuiting the data electrodes and a short bar 2Y for short-circuiting the Y-display electrode, and a second set made of a short bar 2A2 for short- circuiting the data electrodes and a short bar 2X for short-circuiting the X- display electrode; and the first set of short bars are made into a structure, in which their surface positions in the tray are fixed, and the second set of short bars are made into a structure, in which they can move on surface in the tray, and by moving the second set of short bars, they are adapted to PDP of different dimensions.
