PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide battery drive equipment for expanding life while preventing the memory effect of a secondary battery. SOLUTION: When a battery pack 40 is discharged to a preset reference discharge depth, the arrival of the recharge timing of the battery pack 40 is reported by an LED 29, a buzzer BZ, and a control section 32 using an automated tool 20, and the reference discharge depth is changed based on usage history information stored at an EEPROM 52 in the battery pack 40 by the control section 32, thus reporting the arrival of the recharge timing of the battery pack 40 for supplying power to the automated tool 20 in reference to the reference discharge depth to be changed based on the usage history information of the battery pack 40, and hence reporting the arrival of the recharge timing corresponding to the usage history of the battery pack 40, and thus controlling the discharge depth immediately before recharging, preventing overdischarge and memory effect, and hence extending the life in the battery pack 40.
