PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color temperature calculator of a color display system, and to provide a calculating method thereof. SOLUTION: The calculator comprises a chromaticity selector for selecting the closest right and left chromaticities to a chromaticity inputted from a table in mapping the chromaticity and the color temperatures, a distance calculating unit for calculating the distances from the selected right and left chromaticity to the inputted chromaticity and a color temperature calculating unit for calculating the color temperatures, corresponding to the inputted chromaticity from the calculated distance ratio.
