PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a wide-distance measurement range and to measure the distance for a short time, in a three-dimensional image detector. SOLUTION: An object is irradiated continuously with pulse-modulated RGB distance measuring lights in the order of R, G, B from light sources 14R, 14G, 14B. Reflected lights from the object pass through an imaging lens 11 and a filter 28f, having RGB color filter arrays to from an image on an imaging surface of a CCD 28. After a specified storage period, the detector detects the reflected lights, received with pixels of the CCD 28 having their respective RGB filters. It computes the distances of the objects located at a near, intermediate and far distance measurement ranges from the quantities of charges detected by the pixels, corresponding to the components RGB, respectively, and computes the distance from the adjacent RGB pixels to the corresponding object. |
