PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of maintaining excellent cleaning performance over a long term by changing the cleaning interval of a cleaning blade in consideration of the number of image forming sheets and an environmental condition such as temperature and humidity, in the image forming device constituted so that a foreign matter such as paper dust adhering to the edge of the cleaning body is removed by reversely rotating a photoreceptor. SOLUTION: This image forming device is equipped with a controller 39 performing the cleaning of the cleaning blade by rotating the photoreceptor in the reverse direction to that at the time of forming an image, and a blade cleaning counter 40 for setting the cleaning interval of the blade based on the number of image forming sheets. In the device, the set value of the counter 40 is alternatively selected and the photoreceptor is reversely rotated so that the blade may be cleaned every time the number of image forming sheets reaches a set value, and the interval that the blade is cleaned is selected in accordance with the number of image forming sheets. |
