PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray diagnostic system in which a medical image representing minute information can be represented with good contrast even for image data subjected to halation. SOLUTION: A detection signal from a detector 8 is converted by an A/D converter 9 into a digital signal of 16 bit dynamic range, for example. The 16 bit digitized image data are compressed to produce an image signal of 12 bit dynamic range. The compression rate is not set evenly but determined based on the skill of an operator, the purpose and the X-ray transmittancy at the imaging part. |
