PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote monitoring system for image forming apparatus for performing managing processing of an image forming apparatus and supporting processing to the use of the image forming apparatus by user. SOLUTION: In this remote monitoring system for image forming apparatus, the image forming apparatus and a remote managing device 10 are connected, the image forming apparatus transmits an operating state to the remote managing device 10 as operating state information, and support information is provided by judging the operating state of the image forming apparatus on the basis of the relevant operating state information. In such a case, the remote managing device 10 extracts effective information required for discriminating the operating state of the image forming apparatus from the operating state information by an information extracting part 12, decides the operating state of the image forming apparatus from the extraction result by a comparative judging part 13, discriminates, and extracts various kinds of support information required for making suitable the operation of the image forming apparatus from a support information knowledge part 14, converts the support information extracted by the comparative judging part 13 to an information form suited to the relevant output destination and transmits it from an announcement communication part 15. |
