PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video camera that can miniaturize an equipment body by utilizing empty space effectively, secures the beauty in an outer shape design, and protects such electric component as a capacitor from shock or the like. SOLUTION: An electric component such as a capacitor 23 is arranged at empty space for forming a recess that is generated by the convergence of the optical path in an image pickup lens barrel section 1 of the video camera where the image pickup lens barrel 1 where a group of lenses 15 are arranged is mounted, and empty space for forming especially the upper recess in the external shape section of the lens barrel in the image pickup lens, an accessory- mounting fixture 31 is provided at the upper section of a video camera body 24, and a metal member 23 is arranged to retain the accessory-mounting fitment so that the capacitor 23 is covered.
