PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joy stick type input device capable of lessening the risk of misoperation. SOLUTION: An operating lever 8 is movably installed inside an opening 20 of a frame 10. The opening 20 includes a free movable region 21 located in the center and a slidable region 22 overhung to outside the free movable region 21. The slidable region 22 includes a radial region 23 extending in the radial direction with respect to the free movable region 21 and a lateral region 24 provided at the outer end of the region 23 and overhung on both sides of the region 23. Further outward from the end of the lateral region 24, a contact button 25 in approximately a columnar shape is installed extending in the radial direction. An electroconductive member 28 is installed at the outer end of the button 25, and a conductor pattern 29 is provided facing with the electroconductive member 28 and furnished with a gap 30 in its position facing with the electroconductive member 28.
